Guests at Tir-y-nant Hotel set off for breakfast at the Old Chapel The group gathers outside the Old Chapel ready for the off Tir-y-nant through the trees A lovely bank of snowdrops on the way It was a grey day, but not raining too much at this stage
         
We stop for a short rest ... ...and later we stop for lunch near the standing stone It was cold and windy and we didn't stay too long! David helps us across the stream Another short rest to enjoy the view back down the valley
         
Our second lunch! Climbing up to the top of the ridge David prepares the tub for the Tir-y-nant guests It was wonderful after such a long walk Dinner in the Old Chapel was a feast
         
Sunday morning - off to the Old Chapel for breakfast again We all gather at Llanfoist car park The tunnel under the canal at Llanfoist Views over Abergavenny It was a long steep climb up Blorenge
         
A short rest whilst everyone catches up The Punch Bowl offers an ideal spot for lunch Everyone relaxes and watches the endurance riders passing by On the road towards the top The grave of Harry Llewellyn's Foxhunter
         
Walking along the ridge to the top of Blorenge Wonderful views all round John cracks a joke at the summit Slowly back down again
