The Coxes arrive at the Gullet Car Park half an hour ahead of time! It is very cold The group gathers and is ready to set off The Gullet Quarry A steep climb though Gullet Wood warms us up

It is steep and slippery.  Lucy the Cocker Spaniel thinks it's a doddle Her friend, Ella, is well equipped for the journey with her water and snacks in her pack We gather on Midsummer Hill to catch our breath and admire the views.... ...which are spectacular Lucy and Hamish thoroughly enjoy playing in the snow

It is a steep climb from Hollybush onto the top Hollybush Annie, Katrina and Bob Eastnor Obelisk in the distance Yet another very steep and very slippery climb onto Chase End Hill

Katrina at the trig point on Chase End Hill We find a sunny, sheltered hollow on Chase End Hill for a very welcome lunch break Everyone is glad of a rest and refueling stop We drop back down to Hollybush to be met by the police who are keen to know if we have seen a suspicious man John gives our details to the Police who want to know of anything we have seen

Eastnor Obelisk Back at the Gullet Car Park at the end of a super day David and Annie help crown the day by providing mulled wine and mince pies for all It is very welcome!
